Product Manager vs Productboard

Byblos AI Product Manager takes a founder from a kickoff interview to cited research and a PRD in one project, with the roadmap on paid plans, then hands that context to Brand Manager and Campaign Manager. Productboard and other dedicated product tools go further on feedback capture, prioritisation and delivery sync. Every competitor figure links to its dated source.

Byblos AI Product Manager

Available

Guides founders from a kickoff interview through cited market and competitor research, personas, assumption testing and a Solution Plan to a PRD and a dependency-aware roadmap. The Free plan gets one generation of each core document; Launch, Grow and Byblos AI Pro add iteration, validation and the roadmap.

Where it stands out

  • Research grounded in live web search with cited sources, and competitor websites checked before they are saved
  • Assumptions linked to interview guides and survey invite links, with a verdict recorded for each
  • Checks new work against approved documents before approval, and marks later documents out of date when an input changes
  • Import an existing PRD or strategy document to prefill the whole set
  • Product research feeds Brand Manager and Campaign Manager in the same project

Current limitations

  • No customer-feedback inbox, feedback integrations or idea portal
  • No prioritization scoring such as RICE; priority labels only
  • No Jira, Linear or GitHub sync, and backlog stories and UX guidelines are not available yet
  • The roadmap has no timeline view, sharing or drag-and-drop
  • No comments, mentions or real-time co-editing
  • The pitch deck is experimental, on Grow and Byblos AI Pro only

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Bottom lineShort answers to the questions teams ask most.

Short answers to the questions teams ask when comparing Byblos AI with the tools they already use.

Can I start from a PRD or strategy document I already have?

Yes. Product Manager can import an existing PRD, solution plan or strategy document and prefill the documents the source covers, from market research and personas to the PRD, for you to review. It reads PDF, Word, Markdown, plain-text and CSV files of up to 10 MB.

Can I send the PRD and roadmap to my issue tracker?

Not through a live sync. Product Manager has no Jira, Linear or GitHub integration, so delivery tracking stays in your issue tracker. You can export each document as Markdown or PDF to share or paste in, and coding agents connected through the Byblos AI MCP connector read the same PRD and roadmap directly.

Does Product Manager collect customer feedback like Productboard?

No. Product Manager has no customer-feedback inbox, feedback integrations or idea portal, and no prioritisation scoring such as RICE, only must, should and could labels. It validates instead: each assumption links to interview guides and survey invite links, with a verdict recorded for each, so customer evidence comes from the research you run rather than a feedback stream.
